Clinical Applications of 5 Phases
This seminar follows a deeper trail into the understanding of 5 Phase through the body by developing treatment strategies with acupoints, essential oils and herbs. By understanding your patients through the lens of the 5 Phases, you'll be able to quickly get results with a wider set of patients.
5 Phases and Chinese Medicine
The development of Chinese medicine and 5 Phases occurred in parallel in ancient China. Together we'll explore and understand the origin of the Phases integrated with the 5 Zang and 6 Fu, the Channel System, and psychological make up of a person.
Yijing: Unlocking Yin & Yang
Most practitioners learned basic yin-yang theory in school and haven't thought much about it since. This class will change that. Drawing from the Yijing (Classic of Changes), China's oldest medical text, you'll develop a more sophisticated understanding of how yin and yang interact and transform in the body.
How to do Acupuncture Aid Work

Master Tung
The Master Tung system of acupuncture is famous for the powerful effects of the acupoints on healing. The class introduces the theory behind their effectiveness and power, as well as learning a few acupoint combinations for pain syndromes and disease states. With 740 acupoints to memorize, it's impossible in a class to survey the entire system, but this should be an inspiration to study it in the future. Acupoints are mostly in the Luò regions of the body, not on Regular Channels, which will be explained in the lecture.

Five Phases as Yin and Yang
Learn a different perspective on the Five Phases, focused on movements of qi within the body. The Five Phases are simply an elaboration of Yin and Yang. You'll learn how to make a detailed connection between the two, and then begin looking at each element psychologically. This is informed by the work of Lonny Jarret and JR Worsley.
Tongue Diagnosis
Tongue is a mirror of the torso; all 5 Zang Organs are seen, and show how they are circulating Blood and Qi. We will look into understanding why tongue analysis is important as well as some basic skills in deciding what is seen on the tongue.
Palpation Workshop
Upgrade your palpation skills! In this course we discuss what we can palpate. We'll review physical landmarks, as well as commonly found issues. The first hour is lecture, after that it's all hands on. Dr. Caron will palpate students, then have each participant feel relevant structures. Free class!

Introduction to Dietary Therapy
This course covers the basics of food as medicine. While there are similarities to how we think about herbal therapy, there are many differences as well. This information comes from a full semester course taught by Dr. Caron from 2017-2019 at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, Canada. Attendees will be emailed slides covering a wide variety of foods.
