Palpation Workshop

Instructor: Peter Caron

Upgrade your palpation skills! In this course we discuss what we can palpate. We'll review physical landmarks, as well as commonly found issues. The first hour is lecture, after that it's all hands on. Dr. Caron will palpate students, then have each participant feel relevant structures.

Tongue Diagnosis

Instructor: Mark Kuebel

Tongue is a mirror of the torso; all 5 Zang Organs are seen, and show how they are circulating Blood and Qi. We will look into understanding why tongue analysis is important as well as some basic skills in deciding what is seen on the tongue.

Five Phases as Yin and Yang

Instructor: Peter Caron

Learn a different perspective on the Five Phases, focused on movements of qi within the body. The Five Phases are simply an elaboration of Yin and Yang. You'll learn how to make a detailed connection between the two, and then begin looking at each element psychologically. This is informed by the work of Lonny Jarret and JR Worsley.

Mark is dedicated to improving Chinese medicine education and promoting understanding from Classical roots with influences from Claude Larre and Master Tung Acupuncture system. He is presently writing and editing a textbook on the foundations of Chinese medicine, updating foundations with the flood of new information available in English.
